KINGDOM FINANCIER

For Anne Barham, being a Kingdom Financier isn’t just about making money—it’s about using her resources to accomplish God’s mission on Earth. As a financial advisor and planner in the Texas Hill Country, Barham sees wealth as a tool for transformation, not just for herself but for others seeking to steward their finances with faith.

Discovering Her Calling

Barham didn’t set out to become a Kingdom Financier. Instead, she was searching for something more. “I had a relationship with the Lord and a good life, but I was hungry more,” she recalls. It was during this season of seeking that God revealed her true identity. “I will never forget hearing the words, ‘You are a Kingdom Financier.’ I remember thinking, What does that even mean? And that sounds like a huge responsibility.”

At the time, she had no idea how it would look, but she soon realized financing the Kingdom wasn’t just about personal prosperity—it was about alignment. “We have to be willing to put down everything we want, think, and believe, and allow God to lead us.”

Radical Faith and Provision

Barham learned this principle firsthand when her life changed overnight. A sudden, contested divorce left her with nothing but the cash in her purse. “I hadn’t worked in years. I didn’t know how I was going to provide for my children,” she remembers. Yet, within days, provision came from unexpected sources—money, food, and even legal assistance. Every bill was paid for over a year. “That was my first real lesson in Kingdom Finance,” she says. “It wasn’t about what I could do—it was about trusting that God’s resources are limitless.”

Years later, when she felt called to leave her job but had no clear direction, she faced the same test. “All I knew was that my season was changing. I kept seeking the Lord, but everything seemed as clear as mud.” Despite financial uncertainty, she pressed on. “I was determined to keep walking with God, even when my life looked like a mess.” Now, she’s living out the promises she once held onto. “It took time, but God was faithful.”

Wealth is a Tool, Not a Goal

As Barham rebuilt her life, she began to see money differently. It wasn’t something to chase—it was something to steward. “We think money is just about success or comfort, but that’s not the full picture. The real question is, why do you want wealth?”

For Barham, wealth isn’t about accumulation—it’s about assignment. “People get caught up in having money, but the power of money is in how you use it.

Kingdom Finance is about using resources to fulfill God’s mission, not just our own desires.”

Building a Legacy That Outlives Us

Barham believes true wealth should outlast the individual and serve future generations. “God is a God of covenant and generations. If we only think about our own lifetime, we’re missing the bigger picture.”

She points to Abraham, who never saw the full promise in his lifetime but laid the foundation for Isaac, Jacob, and beyond. “God’s plans unfold across generations. Wealth should do the same.”

Generosity: The Key to Financial Increase

One of the hardest but most valuable lessons Barham has learned is generosity leads to increase.

“I’ve been in seasons where I was tempted to hold onto what little I had,” she says. “But every time I released it, I saw God move.”

She often references Jesus multiplying the loaves and fish, pointing out that He didn’t start with an abundance—He started with what was available and gave thanks. “That’s a powerful principle. God blesses what we entrust to Him.”

Money as Ministry

Handled well, money becomes ministry in the hands of a faithful steward. Barham sees financial resources as an opportunity to partner with God in shaping the world.

“Many people want change but look to the government or others to make it happen. I see it differently. I look to God and how He’s leading me to get involved.”

She often reflects on the early Church in Acts, where believers were unified in mission, shared their resources, and ensured no one was in lack. “That’s how the Kingdom advances. When we steward well, we ensure there is no lack.”

Kingdom Finance: A Legacy of Impact

Today, Barham teaches others how to build financial legacies that outlive them, but her greatest lesson isn’t about numbers or investments—it’s about trust.

“Wealth isn’t the goal. It’s a means to an end,” she says. “But in the right hands, it can change everything.”
